The Ever Wings, in all its splendour starts off with an equally grand welcome after which the guests would be able to have some much needed rest at a luxurious hotel in Colombo. From there onwards we give you the ultimate getaway which is our winter special from December to May . Starting with a visit to the Sinharaja rainforest and spending the night in close proximity to the wilderness and on to the challenge of white water rafting in Kitulgala, hiking up Adams Peak, visiting tea plantations, botanical gardens, historical temples in Dambulla, climbing Sigiriya, going on safaris into the very heart of the wild would definitely be a grand ending to this seasonal adventure. But, we have a bit more on mind and therefore we plan for you the final few “beach days” to relax, get tanned and ready for the journey back home.

  • Day 1 AIR PORT | COLOMBO

    A warm and truly Sri Lankan welcome at the Airport, where the representative of Ceylon Gate Travels,transfer you to a hotel in Colombo where you are relaxed in care!

  • Day 2 COLOMBO | SINHARAJA

    The Colombo city tour that includes old colonial buildings together with modern skyscrapers!

  • Day 3 SINHARAJA

    Today you are in a primary tropical lowland rain forest in an altitude of 300-1170 meters, covering 6092 he. from the wet land where you were yesterday!! It is a world heritage site declared by UNESCO April 1978. More than 55% of trees are endemic and rare, with endemic birds, wildlife, and butterflies as well as different kinds of amphibians, reptiles, and insects. Out of 830 endemic species, of which trees, woody climbers, and rare species were recorded here. High Faunal endemism is with about 20 birds are recorded. They are Sri Lanka junglefowl, , brown-capped babbler, crimson-fronted barbet, blue-tailed bee-eater ,Sri Lanka wood pigeon, black-capped bulbul and Sri Lanka grey hornbill . The endangered and threatened species are found in the reserve

  • Day 4 SINHARAJA | KITHULGALA
    WHITE WATER RAFTING

    Wonderful recreational activity that you will admire most, in the tour. It is with different options of duration and rapids; however, you are provided with proper out fit with a guarantee of your safety. Unless you are advised not to participate in such activities by physician.

  • Day 5 KITHULGALA | ADAMS PEAK | NUWARAELIYA
    TREKKING ADAMS PEAK

    “Sacred footprint “in a central Sri Lanka on a conical mountain, above 2243 m from mean sea level. The hallow has 5 feet 4 inches and 2 feet 6 inches human foot which is venerated alike by all religions claiming it to be the footprint of their author! Approximately 5000 steps to the summit, for those trekkers it takes approximately 9 hours to complete the trip!

  • Day 6 NUWARAELIYA | KANDY
    VISIT TEA PLANTATION-FACTORY

    The best Ceylon tea in a lush green mountain site, with an experience of tea plucking by yourself! Then a nice fresh cup of tea! Or “tea-coffee mix”.

  • Day 7 KANDY
    VISIT KANDY (TEMPLE- ROYAL BOTANICAL GARDEN)

    The most important temple for the Buddhist all over the world! Mainly for the left canine tooth of Buddha is placed inside a seventh golden casket! Further you can experience the pilgrims who come in white dress and the way of worship! It is a great cultural experience of its kind! city tour of Kandy including the Kandy Market place and the lake. Royal Botanical Garden A historical pleasure garden started by the ancient kings since 1371, later converted to a Royal Botanical garden in 1843. It has over 4000 species of plants including palm trees, Cactus, Orchids and medicinal plants. Alexandrine parakeet, Indian pitta, Ceylon small barbet, common hawk cuckoo are seen in this garden for the lucky guests like you!

  • Day 8KANDY | MATALE | DAMBULLA
    VISIT SPICE GARDEN

    Sri Lanka is famous for its best Cinnamon and other spices, here you will enjoy the tour inside the garden where you can touch and feel the plants that produce it! And you will be amazed to hear about the medicinal properties of ingredients used in cooking and treatments.

    NALANDA GEDIGE

    Complete monolithic structure with an infusion of Buddhists and Hindu architectural elements, believed to have been built in 8-9 AD. The image shrine has a Buddha statue and other Hindu statues. The only image of Kuvera is found in this shrine and most interesting erotic Tantric carvings are found where lion and two men in a sexual union!! It is a relates to Hindu tradition of treating Kama (sexual desire).

    DAMBULLA TEMPLE

    A cave declared as a temple in the 2 BC, with 153 Buddha statues, three statues of kings and four statues of gods and goddess inside! With 2100 sq meters of murals! On a stone cliff face. It is 200m above from the surroundings that you can walk up in 30 minutes. Another world heritage site declared by UNESCO in the year 1991.

  • Day 9 DAMBULLA | SIGIRIYA | MINNERIYA | DAMBULLA
    VISIT SIGIRIYA

    Do you like to have a walk into a Palace on a rock! Where there is a water garden, frescos, and a mirror wall! Built in the 4 century AD, another world heritage site declared by UNESCO in the year 1982.

    MINNERIYA SAFARI

    Do you love, enjoying the elephant watching? the largest mammal on earth! Safari jeep will take you into the wilderness of Minneriya national park, during the month of August ‘The Great Gathering of Elephants is a lifetime experience! Best opportunity to observe elephant behavior, in 40 to 100 elephants in different locations of the park.

    VISIT ANURADHAPURA

    You have a great opportunity to visit the oldest recorded tree in the world! Ficus religiosa, in the first ancient capital city of Sri Lanka, which is a world heritage site built 3 BC.

  • Day 11 ANURADHAPURA | WILPATTU | ANURADHAPURA
    WILLPATTU SAFARI

    “National park full of lakes” the largest park in Sri Lanka in a 1317 km2 in north western province. Within the park about 31 species of mammals were recorded, Sloth bear, Leopard, Spotted Deer, Land Monitor, Mongoose are often seen by the lucky traveler! It is 3-hour safari in the morning or evening on the day you visit.

  • Day 12 ANURADHAPURA | KALPITIYA

  • Day 13 KALPITIYA

    Those who prefer lesser known destination, then kalpitiya would be an ideal place though quite humid and sticky. It is with a well-preserved Dutch fort and a Dutch Church in this peninsula. May to September (kitesurfing season) and November to February (winter kitesurfing season and dolphin watching season) It is also a marine sanctuary with a diversity of habitats ranging from bar reefs, flat coastal plains, saltpans, mangroves swamps, salt marshes and vast sand dune beaches, with a best nursing grounds for many species of crustaceans and fish. The coastal waters are also home to spinner, bottlenose and Indo-Pacific humpback dolphins, whales, sea turtles, and the elusive dugong. The Sri Lankan government has now formulated a master plan for the development of tourism industry here.
